Autumn Media Journal - March 2007

As part of the ongoing development of the Sothys brand within New Zealand, a number of new initiatives have been taken to further increase the public profile and visibility of Sothys.

Every quarter, a media journal showing a selection of where Sothys have been present in various parts of the Media, will be sent to you to keep you up to date with where and what Sothys are doing around our beautiful country.

Aside from the regular advertising and editorial in a wide variety of New Zealand publications, Sothys are actively supporting events and causes which we feel closely aligned to. For example, coming up later this year, Sothys are proud to co-sponsor the ‘Her Business Magazine Women in Business Awards’. A fantastic celebration of the cream of New Zealand women in business.

We welcome any feedback, pics and stories you as part of the extended Sothys family would like to add. We want to celebrate everyones success so please, don’t be shy, we look forward to hearing from you.

Finally, I would like to offer belated congratulations to ‘Outer Image’ of Cambridge on being recognized with an ‘Excellence in Marketing’ Award at their local business awards last year, well done ladies!

One of the recent events where Sothys were involved was the International Polo Zone tournament at Clevedon. Teams from South Africa, Australia, India, Pakistan and of course New Zealand battled for places in the up coming Polo World Cup. Sothys provided 300 goodie bags to all the ladies that attended the ‘South Gin Party at the Polo’. The products were very well received and not one bag was left begging.

Sothys were asked to partner with some well known and illustrious brands at The ‘Fashion de Prix’ on Derby Day of the Auckland Cup in March. As part of the $100,000 prize pool, Sothys gave the winner (pictured below) Sothys skincare for a year, worth$5000. Sothys was in good company, branded next to major sponsor Mercedes Benz. It was a great day which resulted in fantastic exposure all day including branding on the catwalk, race books, event advertising in the days leading up to the event and regular plugs by host MC Stacey Daniels. On top of this, Sothys sample cards were given to the 100 plus fashion hopefuls that entered the competition.
